BigSMS

BigSMS is an Android application that provides users with a method of sending large SMS messages.

On most unrooted Android smartphones, there are length restrictions when writing SMS messages. Each message exceeding the set threshold automatically converts into a multimedia message resulting in an almost guaranteed cost increase to the user.

Despite Google providing the necessary means to disable this automatic conversion, many manufacturers omit this feature from their firmware. Why? Money. Each multimedia message costs a hefty sum compared to the free SMS’ sported by most modern price-plans.
